 On objects created by the potter
using only materials existing in nature,
 melted ash of the Japanese red pine leaves mystic designs.
That’s Tsugaru Ujoyaki.
 An emotional resonance that
remains steadfast, even as time goes by.
Warmth produced by human hands.
 Here in this land, we pursue the
ultimate expression of glaze without glaze,
produced by the interaction of
nature and humans.

We are a pottery studio committed in works that are handmade, wood-fired, and nature-glazed.
At our Nature Glaze Gallery, we exhibit and sell our Nature Glaze works.
In our museum section, many works from the Six Ancient Kilns, Old Imari, old ceramics and potteries from overseas, among others, are on permanent display.

津軽茶道美術館TSUGARU TEA CEREMONY MUSEUM

Enjoy a display of precious tea ceremony items—passed down for centuries as a part of Japan’s tea ceremony culture—centered around the collection of Rikei Imai.
The museum features a fully functional tea ceremony room and Japanese-style room, which can be rented for tea ceremonies and other occasions.
Enjoy matcha and sweets in the café space.
